These terms apply to everyone who uses serialshelf.co.uk, which is run by [YOUR NAME OR BUSINESS NAME] ("we").

What Serial Shelf is

Serial Shelf is a directory. Each listing links to a novel on its author's own website. We don't host, copy or republish the novels, their chapters or their cover art. Reading happens on the author's site, under that site's own terms.

We aren't affiliated with the sites we list, and a listing isn't an endorsement. We try to keep listings accurate, but chapter counts, dates and descriptions may lag behind the author's site.

Listing rules

By submitting a listing, you confirm that:

• you are the author, or you have the author's permission to list the work;
• the work is published on a site you or the author control;
• the work isn't an unauthorised copy or translation of someone else's work;
• the description you write is your own and isn't misleading.

You give us permission to show the details you submit (title, pen name, description, links, genre, status and schedule) and to read your public feed to show the latest chapter. You keep all rights in your work.

Covers. Covers are shown only if you opt in. By opting in, you confirm you own the cover art or have the artist's permission for it to appear in directories. We display the preview image your novel's page already publishes, loaded from your site rather than copied to ours, and you can withdraw permission at any time through a change request. Listings without a cover show a generated design instead.

We may decline or remove any listing, for example if it breaks these rules, the link stops working, or the content is unlawful or sexualises minors.

Updating or removing a listing

Authors can update or remove their listing at any time. Open the novel on Serial Shelf and choose Are you the author? Request a change, or email [CONTACT EMAIL]. We may ask you to confirm you control the site the listing points to. We aim to act on removal requests within [5] working days.

Reporting a problem

If you believe a listing points to work that infringes your rights, or is otherwise unlawful, email [CONTACT EMAIL] with the listing's title, the link, and why you're reporting it. We'll review it promptly and remove the listing while we look into it where that's appropriate.

Liability

Serial Shelf is provided as it is, free of charge. We aren't responsible for the content of external sites we link to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
